For the more energetic among us we can head to Kubang Badak River for some Kayaking. Depending on the tidal conditions we will either begin at the coast and end up river or begin upriver and end down at the coast.
Kayaking & Swimming Adventure
This river is a coastal river and we paddle along the mangrove forest a unique group of trees that thrive between the land and sea. Our guide will talk about its ecology and its many benefits to man and wildlife. There will be opportunities to see kingfishers, sea eagles, kites, plovers, herons, fiddler crabs and mud skippers. We will pass the local fishing station where the local fishermen gather to go to sea or return after a day out.
This first part of this trip would last about 2 1/2 hours and thereafter a short 15 minutes drive and an easy trek of 500 meters takes us to a quite and secluded jungle stream. You might want to take a dip in its cool and rejuvenating waters or just surrender to the meditative sounds of its swirling waters, a perfect ending to our active day.We end the day with delightfull set lunch.

Just an excellent day, better than we ever could have expected. The guide was superb and the enviroment.. wow - just wow. We got to see Eagles very up close and bathe in waterfalls -it was the peak of our stay on Langkawi.
We got picked up at our hotel, we met the guide and paddled out into the mangrove. Paddling was very easy as we went with the tide. We got to see lots of birds but no snakes or reptiles. After the kayaking we took the van to a waterfall where Jungle Walla had arranged a picnic with the best food we ate during our stay on Langkawi. We can very strongly recommend this tour - well worth the money. -
We had our first experience with Junglewalla on the morning after we arrived in Langkawi. We went jungle trekking and had an amazing time. Our guide was unbelievably knowledgable. We learned a lot and had a great time. Our guide had carved this trail out of the jungle, and there were no signs of humanity along the entire journey. We saw monkeys, wild boar, and tons of bird species. We were so impressed with Junglewalla that we signed up for the kayaking swimming adventure the next day. We had a great time and got to see an entirely different side of Langkawi. We forgot our camera and our guide (Madi) offered to take pictures with his camera and email them to us. Thte trip was very well planned and executed. After touring the Mangroves, we transferred to the jungle for a great lunch at a waterfall followed by some frolicking in the fresh jungle river. On our last day in Langkawi we decided to do the sunrise bike ride. The entire trip was downhill :). We started with some photos of the sunset and then took the leisurely ride down the mountain. We saw a wide range of wildlife and our guide (Madi again), was incredibly knowledgable about the forest and wildlife. The trip ended with a traditional Malaysian breakfast at a roadside local eatery. All in all, we could not be more pleased with Junglewalla. All three trips were excellent, and we can not imagine coming to Langkawi without experiencing the amazing beauty of the rainforest. I would highly recommend Junglewalla to anyone traveling to Langkawi.
